Job Description

Seeking highly creative talent to develop best in class commercially sale-able core and fashion sportswear product for womens contemporary/missy market .
 
  • Collaborate with VP of Design and VP Sales/Merchandising in setting seasonal trend, color, fabric, print and silhouette direction
  • Collaborate with VP Sales/Merchandising in developing seasonal line plans
  • Take ownership in adhering to seasonal merchandising calendar in ensuring timely sample line delivery in accordance to seasonal market weeks.
  • Lead all stages of the product development effort, including trend/fabric/color research, presentation boards, sketching, tech packing, sample order placement and c.a.d. line sheets
  • Identify key seasonal knit/woven tops/bottoms sportswear fabrics and develop them accordingly
  • Develop close working relationship with sales and sourcing team members
  • Must have keen awareness of developing product into key strategic price points
  • Have strong knowledge of key competitors and critical price points in our market  
  • Communicate as necessary with overseas suppliers and sample room
  • Travel to overseas sample room, and shopping trips and fabric trade shows as necessary
  • Freshen up showroom décor seasonally 
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
 
  • Need at least 8+ years of design experience in womens sportswear
  • Proficient in illustrator, photoshop and Microsoft Excel
  • Keen eye for trend and sophisticated design aesthetic
  • Strong inspiration and presentation skills
  • Need stronorganizational skills and be able to effectively manage time and multi-task 
 
 Salary range: $95-129K
