Technical designer - Woman’s Apparel
The Technical Designer is responsible for facilitating the transition of apparel styles from a design concept to a final, production-ready prototype. Collaborates with product developers and vendors to ensure consistent fit and quality.
Responsibilities
• Category-level responsibility to maintain fit standards through the use of fit form, live fittings, and pattern analysis.
• Analyze and uphold garment construction standards
• Develop and maintain clear and accurate product and measurement specifications
• Create and update technical illustrations and construction callouts
• Identify potential production, functional, quality and costing issues and make recommendations to ensure brand integrity
• Track and manage workflow and workload for own product, elevate any issues to meet deadlines to leader and present solutions to issues
• Communicate daily with suppliers
• Complete projects as assigned

Requirements:
• 3 -5 years of experience in apparel technical design and development
• Experience working in cross-functional teams
• Strong fit and patternmaking skills
• Knowledge of apparel construction and components
• Working knowledge of PLM systems
• Sketching skills using Adobe Illustrator
• Understanding of product engineering, manufacturing processes and QC systems
• Computer skills including Excel, Word, Outlook
• Excellent prioritization and organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skill
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to change and be self-directed
Hybrid opportunity: 4 days on site
Salary range $70-85k
