Job Description
Reporting to the Vice President of Information Technology, the Data Coordinator will be responsible for collecting, organizing, and analyzing data in a way that is accessible, useful, and understandable so that it can be used to make data informed decisions.
Data collection and data entry are a routine component of this position. The Data Coordinator will work within several systems to collect and input data. Systems include case management software, Excel, and a secure state data system. Within these systems, the Data Coordinator will input and analyze the data to ensure that it is correct and accurate. The Data Coordinator will work with various teams and departments to problem solve and troubleshoot any data concerns that are identified.
The Data Coordinator will also manage data reports that are used throughout the organization. Report creation, management, and problem solving all fall within the scope of this position.
In addition to data input and coordination, the Data Coordinator will assist with process improvement projects related to program-specific data. These projects range from a simple change in a data system to developing a new data collection process for an entire team. Ensuring consistent and accurate data collection processes is critical to the success and growth of programs and the organization.
The Data Coordinator will also engage with data in additional ways that may include quality assurance, reporting to funders, and research projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist with external and internal data requests
- Collect, enter, and verify data accurately and efficiently into company databases, spreadsheets, and other data management tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent and accurate data entry, resolving any discrepancies or inconsistencies as needed.
- Assist in data cleaning and quality control processes to maintain data accuracy and reliability.
- Generate and maintain regular reports, ensuring that data outputs are in compliance with established standards.
- Help identify data-related issues and propose potential solutions to enhance data quality and workflow efficiency.
- Contribute to the improvement of data management processes by suggesting best practices and process enhancements.
- Assist in the preparation and organization of data for analysis, reporting, and presentations.
- Stay updated on company policies, guidelines, and industry standards related to data management and privacy.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance technical skills and knowledge of data management tools and practices.
- Collaborate with other team member, technical specialists, project managers, and data analysts
Minimum Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel
- Experience with data system management
- Strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy in data entry and management tasks.
- Exceptional organizational skills; detail-oriented with strong follow-through
- Ability to work independently and effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and remaining flexible in a fluid and fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient time management skills and the ability to prioritize workload
- Inquisitive nature and the desire to continuously learn and grow
- Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
