Job Description

Our client, a dynamic denim brand based in NYC, is seeking a highly creative Assistant Designer with denim experience to support the development of innovative and commercially viable core and fashion products.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
  • Collaborate with the design team to establish seasonal trends, color palettes, fabric choices, and silhouette directions.
  • Assist in the development of seasonal line plans in partnership with the design team.
  • Support the timely delivery of samples by adhering to the seasonal merchandising calendar.
  • Participate in all stages of product development, including trend research, sketching, tech packs, sample orders, and line sheets.
  • Help identify key seasonal denim fabrics and assist in developing wash runs.
  • Foster strong working relationships with sales and sourcing teams.
  • Maintain awareness of strategic price points for product development.
  • Stay informed about competitors and market pricing trends.
  • Communicate with overseas suppliers and the sample room as needed.
  • Participate in showroom updates and décor enhancements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 2-3 years of experience in denim design or related fields.
  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong eye for trends and a passion for denim.
  • Excellent inspiration and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Salary Range: $60,000 - $75,000
