Job Description

We are searching for an Associate Designer with experience in women's woven and knit tops for our client in the apparel industry.

Responsibilities: 
-Support the creation of on trend fashion Woven and Knit tops for 2 brands.
-Partner with Designer in the design process from beginning to end from conceptualizing, interpreting season design direction, conducting research, and developing designs that align with the brand’s vision, market trends and customer preferences 
-Support Designer in creating detailed development tech packs, of detailed sketches, design specifications and SMS request 
-Support Designer in reviewing and approving production fabric / trim / wash submits, and updating production tech packs 
-Own creating and updating organized design development of CADDED lines sheets 
-Ability to communicate with Designer daily on progress of workload and deadlines 
-Participate in researching the latest market trends and customer preferences in Women’s fashion tops 
-Participate in Daily communication with Vendors for development & production approvals 
-Supports design pass o@ with Technical design providing clear design details & construction 
-Supports reviewing and providing Proto fit comments to vendors for SMS samples 
-Participate in production fits for bulk approval 
-Proactively communicate with Designer with status updates and timelines in a timely manner to ensure deadlines and needs are being met -Reports into Designer


Qualifications: 
-3-5 years of experience 
-Woven Tops & Cut-and-Sew Knit Tops knowledge 
-Previous experience in o@-price and / or contemporary fashion design, preferably with a focus in both Woven and Cut-and-Sew Knit tops categories 
-Strong organizational skills and detail oriented 
-Proficient in design software and tools such as Adobe Illustrator, PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel 
-Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while staying flexible and agile 
-Ability to meet overlapping deadlines and strong time management. 
-Excellent communication skills and the ability to present ideas confidently and clearly 
-Embraces new challenges with optimism and perseverance. 
-Ability to support the Designer and anticipate next and proactively connect the dots for the daily workload at hand 
-Knowledge in of silhouette, fit, fabrication and garment construction of Woven & Knit tops

Salary Range $65-85K
