We are searching for a Chief Operating Officer for a NYC fashion company to oversee daily operations, implement the CEO's vision, and manage key functions like supply chain, production, distribution, finance, and human resources to drive efficiency and sustainable growth. Key responsibilities include developing and optimizing the supply chain, ensuring product quality and compliance, managing budgets and capital investments, leading strategic partnerships, and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the fashion industry context.
Core Responsibilities
Work directly with the CEO to translate the company's vision and long-term strategies into actionable operational plans.
Oversee all day-to-day operations, including ensuring the smooth running of production, supply chain, and distribution.
Design and implement strategies for the supply chain, purchasing, and logistics to ensure efficiency, timely delivery, and optimal inventory levels.
Manage capital investments and budgets, focusing on cost reduction and driving profitability to meet growth targets and investor expectations.
Build, lead, and motivate high-performing teams across various departments, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented culture.
Industry-Specific Focus
Ensure quality control and efficiency in manufacturing processes, which is critical for a fast-paced, trend-driven industry.
Develop strategies for inventory to maintain optimal stock levels, minimize waste, and ensure product availability to meet customer demand.
Distribution & Logistics:
Optimize both physical and digital distribution networks, including e-commerce and omni-channel logistics, to effectively serve customers.
Integrate sustainability initiatives into operations and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and quality standards.
Key Skills and Qualifications
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex operational budgets.
Strong business acumen to analyze complex situations and make sound decisions to support business growth.
Deep understanding of global supply chains, logistics, and retail operations within the fashion or consumer goods sectors.
