Chief Operating Officer (COO) - Apparel Manufacturing
Position Summary
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is a senior executive responsible for overseeing the organization’s global operational strategy and execution. Reporting directly to ownership and serving as a key member of the executive leadership team, the COO will drive operational excellence across international manufacturing, supply chain, and corporate functions.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Direct and manage end-to-end global manufacturing operations across multiple international locations.
- Ensure alignment between production, quality control, logistics, and distribution functions.
- Establish and maintain operational standards to drive efficiency, consistency, and performance.
Strategic Planning & Execution
- Partner with ownership to develop and implement long-term business strategies and operational plans.
- Lead initiatives that support scalability, market expansion, and operational optimization.
Supply Chain Management
- Oversee global sourcing, procurement, and vendor management strategies.
- Mitigate operational and geopolitical risks while optimizing cost structures.
Technology & Process Innovation
- Champion the adoption of advanced manufacturing technologies and automation systems.
- Drive digital transformation initiatives to improve productivity and decision-making.
Financial Management
- Oversee operational budgets, capital investments, and cost controls.
- Manage profit and loss (P&L) performance across global operations.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners globally.
- Represent the organization in executive-level discussions and negotiations.
Leadership & Organizational Development
- Build and mentor a high-performing global operations team.
- Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Required
- 12+ years of leadership experience in global Apparel manufacturing or supply chain environments.
- MBA or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience managing international operations.
Preferred
- Experience in digital transformation.
- Knowledge of ESG standards.
- Entrepreneurial, growth-oriented mindset.
