Job Description
Design Operations Manager – Accessories
The Design Operations Manager will work closely with cross functional partners to oversee the execution of workflow between design and production across designated brand(s) and ensure proper execution.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and prioritize tech pack workflow, details, and status across designated brand(s)
- Check key tech packs and elevate issues to ensure consistency across designated brand(s) and partner with other Design Operations Managers to ensure constancy across all brands
- Drive deadlines to ensure milestones are met in adherence to the calendar
- Coordinate meetings in partnership with cross functional partners to facilitate design alignments and communication
- Coordinate with Graphics/Graphic Ops, Technical, and Design on obtaining all components of tech packs
- Proactively troubleshoot and resolve sourcing and production issues by partnering cross functionally to ensure brand aesthetics and design intent is met
- Partner with PA/TD on regular basis for elevated issues on approvals
- Ensure Sourcing is kept up to date on product development
- Utilize Haddad technologies to manage and reprioritize workflow and team tasks among the greater DO team
- Collaborate on staffing, and support professional development of the team
- Attend trade shows, and industry events when applicable
- Conduct market research on techniques for construction and cost saving in production, as well as spot checking current brand(s) production on floor
- Travel as needed for development and production
- Special projects as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design, Product Development, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in the fashion industry
- Ability to think analytically as well as creatively
- Ability to lead and develop a team of Design Operations Assistant/Associate (s)
- Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills with attention to detail
- Must be a strategic thinker, persuasive, flexible with changes, and collaborative
- Brand appropriate aesthetic
- Ability to travel (if needed)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator
Salary :$65000-$100,000
