Location: New York City, NY

Employment Type: Full-Time

Compensation: $120,000 – $140,000 annually (base pay is one part of the total rewards package and may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives and comprehensive benefits)
 
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced District Manager to lead and support multiple retail locations within the New York City area. In this position, you will ensure exceptional customer experience, efficient store operations, and consistent execution of company standards across all locations. You will train, coach, and develop store leadership teams and collaborate with cross-functional partners to drive district performance and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and support store leaders in achieving performance expectations, operational consistency, and customer experience goals.
  • Partner with regional leadership and cross-functional teams to drive business results and implement solutions to operational challenges.
  • Analyze trends and provide recommendations for process improvements, system enhancements, and operational adjustments.
  • Deliver product and operational training to store leaders and work with internal teams when deeper training is required to support growth and consistency.
  • Support community building and engagement by inspiring and activating store-level events and initiatives.
  • Monitor and report on key sales, returns, KPIs, and trend data; create action plans with store leaders for performance improvement and recognition of success.
  • Advise and coach store managers on leadership, performance management, and employee relations.
  • Oversee staffing, payroll optimization, inventory management, and internal systems for efficient district operations.
  • Set clear performance expectations for stores and provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and development guidance for leaders.
Qualifications
  • 8+ years of retail experience, with at least 3 years in a multi-store leadership or district-level management role.
  • Extensive experience opening stores, training teams, and leading by example in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong operational and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed business decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both in person and virtually.
  • Proven ability to guide, motivate, and develop teams through influence and coaching.
  • Comfortable working a minimum of 40 hours per week, including weekends, evenings, holidays, and travel as needed.
  • Ability to be on your feet for extended periods and handle physical demands such as bending and lifting up to 25 lbs.
