Fashion Designer 

Company Overview:
We are an emerging luxury casual wear brand focused on crafting high-quality,
sophisticated, and fashion-forward pieces for Gen Z and Millennial women who embrace
creativity and boldness. We aim to strike the perfect balance between timelessness and
trendsetting.

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced freelance fashion designer to help bring our vision to life.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of luxury fashion, a keen eye for detail,
top notch organisation and time management skills, and the ability to create designs that
resonate with our audience. You will be responsible for leading the design of our debut
collection, consisting of a small range of pieces from luxury sweats to dresses.

Key Responsibilities:
● Design: Take ownership of collections timelines and calendars, ensuring deadlines
are met; Lead the product design process from concept to completion, including
trend analysis, market research, mood boards, design presentations, and guiding
fabric, trim, and fit processes.
● Trend Research: Identify key silhouettes and trends to ensure designs are current
and aligned with the brand’s aesthetic and target audience.
● Market Research: Conduct domestic and international research to bring fresh ideas
through competitive shopping and vintage exploration.
● Product Development: Create unique, trend-forward pieces that speak to our target
market. Develop detailed spec packages, including sketches, construction details,
fabrications, and key measurements. Collaborate with domestic and/or international
vendors for sample development.
● Organization and Initiative: Identify, communicate, and resolve technical and
developmental challenges throughout the design process. Propose 3D concepts,
incorporating vintage sourcing and draping.
● Fabric and Trim Research: Source and research fabrics and trims that align with the
brand’s vision.
● Founder Collaboration: Work closely with the Founder on sketch reviews and
production decisions, including fabric choices and daily design challenges.
- Identify, communicate, and resolve technical and developmental challenges throughout the
design process;

Requirements:
● Minimum of 5 years of experience as a fashion designer in the luxury or high fashion
sector.
● Strong knowledge and experience in fabric sourcing/selection, color theory, and
garment construction. Experience working with both domestic and international
markets.
● Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in fashion design.
● Strong portfolio showcasing relevant work is a must!
● Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Microsoft Office Suite.
● Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines, displaying a strong sense
of initiative and ownership over the entire collection process
● Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with the Founder and external
stakeholders team.
