 Franchise Manager – Retail Operations
Location: TBD
Reports To: CEO/President
Employment Type: Full-Time
Travel Requirement: Frequent travel within assigned territory

Job Purpose:

The Franchise Manager is responsible for managing a portfolio of franchise retail stores to ensure they operate efficiently, profitably, and in alignment with the brand’s fast-growing, fashion-forward standards. In a dynamic and fast-moving retail environment, this role demands hands-on leadership, operational expertise, and a strong ability to build relationships with franchisees throughout the Globe. 

Key Responsibilities:

Franchise Operations Management

  • Ensure consistent execution of company operating procedures across all franchise locations.
  • Conduct frequent store visits to assess operational standards, visual merchandising, and customer experience.
  • Support the implementation of new systems, promotions, and retail technologies.

Franchisee Relationship Management

  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with franchise owners to foster a positive and productive partnership.
  • Act as a key advisor, providing operational, financial, and strategic support.
  • Facilitate conflict resolution and ensure franchisees understand and meet expectations.

Performance & Profitability

  • Analyze financial performance (P&L statements, sales reports, labor costs, shrinkage) and identify areas for improvement.
  • Set performance benchmarks and work with franchisees to meet sales and profitability targets.
  • Collaborate on inventory planning, cost control strategies, and local marketing efforts to increase store performance.

Training & Development

  • Train franchisees and store managers on standard operating procedures, customer service excellence, and retail best practices.
  • Coordinate initial and ongoing training programs in collaboration with the Learning & Development team.
  • Guide underperforming stores through turnaround strategies with hands-on coaching and mentoring.

Compliance & Audits

  • Conduct regular compliance audits covering brand standards, cleanliness, merchandising, pricing, and employee conduct.
  • Ensure stores meet all legal, health and safety, and labor law requirements.
  • Address non-compliance swiftly and document all actions taken.

New Store Openings & Expansion

  • Assist in the launch of new stores, including site selection input, project timeline tracking, and pre-opening training.
  • Ensure new franchisees are fully supported during the onboarding phase.

Reporting & Strategic Input

  • Prepare detailed reports on store performance, territory trends, competitive analysis, and customer insights.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and growth initiatives at the regional level.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience:
• 4–6 years in retail operations management.
• 2+ years in a multi-unit or franchise management role.
• Experience in high-volume, customer-focused environments (e.g., fashion, convenience, specialty retail).
Skills:
• Strong leadership and team-building abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical mindset with proficiency in Excel and retail management software.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
