Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Freelance Production Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of luxury fashion, a keen eye for detail, exceptional organizational and time management skills, and the ability to efficiently manage sample assignments, oversee edits, coordinate model fittings, and ensure seamless sample production. Strong experience in product development and robust connections with both local and international factories are essential.
We are seeking a highly skilled Freelance Production Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of luxury fashion, a keen eye for detail, exceptional organizational and time management skills, and the ability to efficiently manage sample assignments, oversee edits, coordinate model fittings, and ensure seamless sample production. Strong experience in product development and robust connections with both local and international factories are essential.
You will lead the production of our debut collection, which includes a small range of luxury pieces, from sweats to dresses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sample Management: Assign, track, and manage sample production, ensuring all edits and revisions are accurately executed.
- Model Fittings: Coordinate and oversee model fittings to ensure fit and design accuracy.
- Product Development: Collaborate closely with factories in Los Angeles, New York, and Europe (Italy and Portugal) to manage product development, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.
- Pattern and Grading: Work independently or with pattern makers to develop and grade garment patterns.
- Factory Coordination: Serve as a vital link between design and production teams, maintaining strong relationships with local sample rooms and factories.
- Quality Control: Ensure a flawless sampling process and that final products meet the company’s high-quality standards.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in production management within the fashion industry.
- Strong connections with local sample rooms and factories in LA and NY.
- Established relationships with factories in Italy and Portugal are a significant advantage.
- Expertise in pattern making and grading is a plus.
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with design and production teams.
- LA-based candidates are preferred.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with the Founder and external stakeholders.
