Merchandiser - Swimwear

Our client a sustainable Swimwear brand out of the Bay Area is looking for a Merchandiser who, together with the VP of Merchandising and Design, will be responsible for driving a merchandising strategy that ensures profitability while building a long-term collaboration with design, product development, production, inventory, and vendors. Current sales channels include direct (print & digital) and wholesale and the business plans to expand until Retail.

Responsibilities

Assist in planning and executing merchandising strategies to optimize product assortments and maximize sales and profitability
Analyzing market trends, customer preferences, and sales data to make informed decisions on product selection, pricing, and inventory management
Assist in developing and managing merchandising budgets, ensuring effective allocation of resources to drive sales and meet financial targets
Contribute towards regular product audits and market research to evaluate product performance, identify opportunities, and address any potential issues
Coordinating with suppliers and vendors to negotiate terms, pricing, and delivery schedules to maintain optimal inventory levels
Monitoring competitor activities and market trends to stay ahead in the market and identify new opportunities for growth.
Implementing promotional strategies and campaigns to drive customer engagement and increase sales
Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and sales to align merchandising strategies with overall business objectives

Requirements

You have a Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
You have prior experience in merchandising
Experience in Woman's apparel and especially swimwear is a huge plus
You possess strong negotiation skills and can arrive at win-win solutions with partners
You have strong communication & interpersonal skills
You have strong analytical skills and are comfortable dealing with numerical data
You thrive in matrix environments and are adept at influencing and coordinating with
different stakeholders

Salary $95-100K
