About the Role:

We’re looking for a skilled Operations & Warehouse Director to manage shared operational aspects across our HQ and warehouse while leading all aspects of our warehouse that supports the fast-growing retail, ecommerce, and wholesale businesses at The Great. This role reports to the Brand President and works closely with the Brand Leadership Team and plays an important role in driving our business forward.

Key Responsibilities:

Optimize operational activities that span across our HQ and warehouse, including facilities maintenance and security, supplies and packaging procurement, vendor relations and negotiations, and supporting our team’s technology hardware and software needs through coordination with our third-party technology provider.
Direct all warehouse activities including scheduling daily workflows, inbound and outbound logistics, inventory control, order fulfillment, and shipping to ensure smooth and timely product flow to customers.
Oversee inventory management activities, including cycle counts and stock audits to maintain accurate inventory levels.
Collaborate with ecommerce, wholesale, and retail teams to meet customer requirements and achieve high levels of customer satisfaction.
Manage warehouse facilities maintenance and supplies forecast to ensure proper environment and adequate stock levels for warehouse operations.
Monitor and optimize warehouse layout and space utilization to improve operational flow and maximize storage capacity.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies to maintain a secure and compliant working environment.
Develop and manage the warehouse expense budget and partner closely with cross-functional team on cost management initiatives including negotiating favorable contracts and optimizing shipping rates, freight, fulfillment, and packaging costs.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and continuously look to implement best practices to improve distribution center processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy in order processing and inventory management.
Recruit and train warehouse personnel, providing clear direction and performance expectations, conducting performance reviews, and developing team through coaching and feedback.

Qualifications:

Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in warehouse management, logistics, and facilities maintenance with in-depth knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and logistics best practices.
Ability to navigate industry-specific software and warehouse management systems (WMS).
Organized and strong communicator with ability to prioritize multiple deliverables and work both independently and collaboratively.
Team player with a positive attitude – seeks to lead, develop, and motivate those around them – and open to cross-training and sharing responsibilities.
Energized by an environment that requires a strong work ethic, sense of urgency, flexibility, and commitment to deliver on deadlines.
Self-starter that anticipates problems, identifies opportunities, and provides creative solutions.
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Facilities Management, or a related field preferred, but not required.
Experience in retail or consumer goods industries preferred, but not required.
The position is located in a warehouse environment and may require the operation of a fork lift.
