About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Designer to lead technical design and fit execution across Intimates, Swim, and Maternity categories.
In this role, you will own and drive the technical fit process from concept through bulk production, ensuring exceptional fit, comfort, support, functionality, and consistency across highly specialized product categories. You will play a key role in elevating product quality and customer satisfaction while helping build scalable fit standards and processes as the business grows.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in intimate apparel, swimwear, and/or maternity construction, along with a strong understanding of performance fit, support engineering, grading, and body changes across multiple fit scenarios.

Responsibilities

  • Own and lead the technical design and fit process from initial prototype through bulk production approval across Intimates, Swim, and Maternity categories.
  • Develop and maintain category-specific fit blocks, grading standards, and construction guidelines to support scalable product development.
  • Create, update, and manage detailed technical specifications, garment measurements, construction details, and fit standards.
  • Conduct fit sessions, evaluate samples, and provide detailed fit and construction comments to vendors and factories.
  • Partner closely with merchandising, sourcing, product development, production, and overseas teams to ensure consistency in fit, quality, and execution.
  • Evaluate patterns and construction methods to improve garment performance, support, comfort, recovery, and overall fit.
  • Collaborate with global technical design teams to establish and maintain standardized fit processes across regions and vendor partners.
  • Analyze customer feedback, return data, and product performance to continuously improve fit and product quality.
  • Troubleshoot technical fit and construction challenges while providing practical, scalable solutions.
  • Ensure all garments align with company standards for fit, construction, quality, and functionality.
  • Utilize technical design tools and systems including Excel, Google Sheets, PLM systems, and patternmaking software as needed.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of technical design experience with deep expertise in Intimates, Swim, and/or Maternity apparel.
  • Strong understanding of intimate apparel construction, support engineering, swimwear fabrication, stretch behavior, grading, and fit evaluation.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of garment construction, patternmaking, grading, and fit correction.
  • Experience managing the fit process from prototype through production.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, and technical design software.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in technical specifications and fit execution.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with both internal teams and external partners.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Solution-oriented mindset with strong technical problem-solving skills.
  • Salary Range $120,000 - $140,000
  • 5 days on site 

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
  • Standing and walking throughout the workday.
  • Ability to navigate stairs and ladders as required.
  • Bending, twisting, kneeling, and maneuvering garments or materials throughout the day.
  • Occasional travel or off-site support may be required.
