Job Description

PRODUCT DEVELOPER, JEWELRY (Assistant/Associate level)

We are seeking a dynamic and creative individual to join our client's team as a Jewelry Product Developer. As an Assistant/Associate level professional, you will play a crucial role in the development and execution of fine jewelry collections. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the creation of unique and innovative jewelry designs while gaining valuable experience in the jewelry industry.
Responsibilities
  • Updating/streamlining procedures to enhance efficiency.
  • Curating a comprehensive technical library of parts.
  • Communicating with factories to expedite development by adhering to instructions, our product development requirements, and pricing expectations.
  • Facilitating communication with all manufacturers, including packaging suppliers, throughout the development process.
  • Organizing meetings with factories to address challenges and opportunities with the Design, Product Development, Product Management, and Production teams.
  • Sourcing new manufacturers across different categories.
  • Ensuring complete technical documentation to minimize back and forth.
  • Identifying and rectifying errors and missing information.
  • Verifying CADs for compliance with specifications to prevent the need for resampling.
  • Ensuring accuracy of CADs through meticulous tracing and comparison with technical specifications and artwork.
  • Inspecting samples for precision in measurements, artwork, and plating.
  • Assisting with design tasks and presentations as needed.
  • Enforcing adherence to product development procedures across all staff members.
  • Monitoring progress to ensure alignment with design timelines.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 0-3 years of experience
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey ideas effectively and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, or CAD programs.
Salary: $45-60K/ yr. + Benefits (PTO + 401K + Health Insurance)
