Job Title: Sales Director

Location: Los Angeles, California (Onsite role)

Our client is a renowned jewelry brand based in Los Angeles, California, specializing in creating ethereal and nature-inspired jewelry pieces, meticulously crafted with exquisite attention to detail and using the finest materials.

We are seeking a goal oriented, creative Sales Director for their Santa Monica Showroom. The Sales Director is responsible for driving the business as an active member of the sales team to ensure business growth and profitability, while exhibiting a strong sense of leadership. This role will partner with the sales team to exhibit and drive their brand’s overall customer experience. The Sales Director will become an expert of their brand, the aesthetic, and the history or story behind their pieces.

Key Responsibilities:

• Meet personal and store sales goals

• Ensure that the retail store is accurately staffed

• Assist in the tracking, monitoring, and communication of business results

• Develop and maintain long lasting client relationships by establishing a returning client base

• Satisfy company KPI requirements and partner with leadership to develop sales goals and strategies

• Ensure that each customer receives outstanding customer service

• Maintain an active sales floor presence to assist and coach staff in developing strong client relationships

• Ensure image standards are professional and reflective of the brand image

• Implement and maintain all merchandising directives to company standard

• Monitor organization and upkeep of both the front and back of house

• Encourage associates to take ownership of their sales performance

Prerequisite Knowledge, Skills, and Education:

• Minimum 5 + years of luxury retail management experience

• Jewelry experience or GIA certification is a plus

• Superior client and product awareness, and exceptional ability to match this knowledge to customers’ needs

• Proven ability to drive loyalty-building, positive, and thoughtful customer experiences

• Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills

• Detail-oriented problem solver

• Experience meeting retail goals and other financial targets

• Demonstrated experience training employees

• Strong interest in luxury fashion as well as strong knowledge of industry trends

Physical and Mental Requirements:

• Standing and sitting for extended periods of time

• Lifting up to 25 pounds in a safe and prudent manner

• Ability to easily move throughout an office with ease

• Ability to read, write, and understand English

• Ability to effectively interact with others internally and externally

• Ability to utilize office equipment in a safe and prudent manner, including a copy machine, fax machine, computer, telephone, and other general office equipment that may be used regularly

• Ability to work with many different personalities

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Correctable vision and hearing

• Ability to work on-site
