Head of Product & Sales Europe

Location: London
Opportunity:
Out client is seeking an experienced sales executive to lead the growth of their private label apparel business in Europe. This pivotal role will focus on securing and expanding partnerships with leading fashion retailers and brands, driving significant and profitable revenue growth.
 
Responsibilities:
  • New Business Development: Proactively pursue and secure new accounts with major fashion retailers and brands.
  • Strategic Account Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key accounts, acting as a trusted advisor and identifying new growth opportunities.
  • Product & Market Expertise: Demonstrate a deep understanding of men’s and women’s apparel (knits and wovens), market trends, and competitive landscape, translating insights into actionable strategies.
  • Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement effective sales strategies aligned with business objectives, including managing sales cycles, pricing negotiations, and promotional activities.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and mentor the US sales team, setting goals, providing training, and conducting performance reviews.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with design, production, and merchandising teams to ensure seamless product development and on-time delivery.
  • Performance Reporting: Track KPIs, analyze sales data, and provide regular performance reports to senior management.
 
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 10 years of proven success in private label apparel sales to major fashion retailers and brands.
  • Expertise in both knit and woven apparel for mid-to-premium retailers.
  • Exceptional relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Extensive experience leading design teams.
  • Experience executing key new projects, such as opening new markets and introducing new manufacturing countries to customers.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, or a related field preferred.
