About the Position:
The Promotional Products Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding our client’s footprint in the corporate gifting, promotional products, and made-to-order customization space. Reporting to the Senior Global Director of Wholesale, this role blends strategic business development with full-cycle sales execution—owning everything from prospecting and lead generation to pitching, closing, and ongoing account growth. As the face of our client’s program, you’ll bring our customizable product line to life for corporate clients, agencies, and distributors seeking bold, brand-elevating gifting solutions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
New Business Development & Strategic Selling
- Proactively engage with existing customers while sourcing and developing new business within corporate gifting, promotional products, and B2B markets.
- Conduct high-impact, consultative sales presentations that showcase the customization capabilities.
- Build and deepen relationships with both promotional product distributors and direct corporate clients to drive new business and expand our reach across multiple sales channels.
- Build and execute strategic sales plans to hit territory revenue targets and channel growth goals.
- Travel to client locations, tradeshows, and industry events to boost brand awareness and generate qualified leads.
- Analyze market whitespace and prospect data to identify high-potential accounts and prioritize outreach accordingly.
Sales Cycle Management & Execution
- Own the complete sales lifecycle—from lead generation and quoting to order entry, fulfillment coordination, and post-sale follow-through.
- Partner cross-functionally with operations, production, and customer service teams to ensure smooth execution and customer satisfaction.
- Prepare and present tailored proposals, accurately pricing based on client needs and margin goals.
- Coordinate meetings, outreach, and sales support activity to maintain momentum across the pipeline.
- Track and manage all activities in CRM, ensuring accurate forecasting and visibility into progress.
Channel Expansion & Relationship Building
- Grow and maintain strong client relationships through consistent communication, strategic account management, and upselling.
- Identify cross-selling opportunities and expand the program’s presence within existing accounts.
- Source, onboard, and manage distributor and agency partners to scale market presence and support long-term channel health.
- Collaborate with the Wholesale Sales Director to align on strategy, share insights, and drive results.
Industry Expertise & Strategic Insights
- Stay ahead of trends in the promotional products and gifting space to continuously refine approach.
- Monitor competitor activity and market shifts, offering insights that shape channel strategy.
- Partner with creative and marketing to develop impactful, on-brand sales materials and campaigns.
- Deliver performance reporting and forecasting, identifying areas to optimize for growth and profitability.
- Represent the program as a category expert—contributing to channel strategy discussions, internal planning, and broader wholesale insights.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- 3–5 years of experience in promotional products, corporate gifting, or custom solutions sales
- Proven ability to sell, consult, and close—especially within mid-market or enterprise accounts
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with a relationship-first approach
- High degree of professionalism, organization, and attention to detail
- Ability to juggle multiple accounts, priorities, and timelines effectively
- Familiarity with CRM systems and sales tracking tools
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field preferred
- Reliable transportation for territory-based travel

Physical Demands & Work Environment
- USA/Remote, DC/MD/VA preferred
- Required to work EST hours
- Travel: up to 25% or as the job demands, including national events and client visits
