Job Description
Our client in the apparel industry is currently seeking a Sales Manager. This role will be responsible for the effective and successful management of a branded business to include leading a sales team to achieve established sales and financial performance goals resulting in the growth and development of a profitable business.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and coordinate sales team to effectively execute sales plan by account to meet or exceed the revenue goals of the organization.
Responsible to achieve sales and margin goals through analyzation of business daily, weekly, monthly and seasonally.
Develop account specific product initiatives to drive profitable sales.
Train, develop, manage and mentor sales team.
Build and manage annual promotional calendar in coordination with Sales and Planning teams.
Manage shippable and mark down budgets to mitigate excess inventory risk.
Stay abreast of emerging trends and monitor changing landscape to propose new strategies accordingly.
Regularly communicate and collaborate with external partners in order to maximize opportunities, negotiate and grow the business.
Collaborate with internal cross functional teams including Design, Planning, Production Marketing etc. to achieve company goals.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
Minimum of 5 years of related sales experience
Wholesale experience required
Prior retail experience a plus
Proficient in Microsoft office
Exceptional presentation skills to senior level executives and large groups
Strong business acumen and skill-set which enables the management and development of staff.
Strong communication and inter-personal skills.
Ability to multi task and problem solve
Keen selling and negotiation skills ·
Salary : $175,000-$200,000
