The Torani Automation and Controls Engineer may be the role for you! You’re a knowledgeable
professional responsible for maintaining, documenting, and troubleshooting instrumentation,
controls, and electrical systems within the flavor factory with an emphasis on supporting
factory PLC’s and Automation programming. You thrive in an environment that is team-centric
and are a trusted and collaborative partner working cross-functionally within the Technical
Engineering and Maintenance (T.E.A.M) department. You are in constant collaboration with a
wide range of cross-functional partners including Operations, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply
Chain, and our IT team.

Success Factors (12-18 months)

• Trusted Partner and Coach: You are a trusted and collaborative partner within the T.E.A.M.
department and across the Flavor Operations organization. Peers and team members seek
you out for your experience, expertise, and knowledge in all things that improve our
manufacturing transformation by leveraging automation in our flavor factory. You also
have a passion for creating training, continuous improvement processes, and developing
and implementing action steps for our team members to support their personal
development.

• Subject Matter Expert: You are a “roll up your sleeves/hands-on type of contributor” with
all aspects of the job, including physical installation and repair of all plant-based equipment
as required; either individually or working with plant maintenance team members as
needed. Because of your Rockwell Automation and Allen Bradley equipment expertise, your
input and guidance are essential to the success of our Flavor Factory. Your computer
literacy is top notch with Windows Server and Professional operating systems and software
fluency in MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio) and required
programming software for Rockwell Automation / Allen Bradley equipment. You have
developed a software repository of all plant PLC, HMI, and Operational Programming
software resources.

• Continuous Improvement: Your natural curiosity and strong analytical skills have
empowered others to think differently and challenge our current processes to identify and
improve Line efficiency. You are the go-to on-call Engineer for the Facility and whether on
the clock or after hours, our ability to proactively identify equipment and process
opportunities has improved.

• Project Management: You are detailed oriented and organized and deliver all projects,
documentation, and installations on time and within budget. Your excellent communication
and interpersonal skills only enhance your ability to collaborate cross-functionally to
achieve the strategic goals of the organization.

Attributes and Qualifications for the Role:

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or Computer Science, or
equivalent combination of education and onsite field experience.
• Hands-on experience designing, programming, installing, debugging, and maintaining
plant-based control systems with PLC’s, VFD’s and other electromechanical equipment
utilizing distributed control schemes.
• Experience with Rockwell Automation / Allen Bradley Control Logix / Compact Logix /
Micro Logix PLCs and HMI / MES software preferred.
• Experience working with I&C in process and material handling manufacturing
environments with increasing responsibilities and performance.
• Experience or ability to learn AB PLC programming as well as Rockwell Factory Talk
tools. (RSLogix5000 and Studio 5000)
• Fundamental knowledge of pneumatics, and hydraulics in addition to electrical
actuation and controls.

Salary Range: $129,600-$158,400
