The Role
Our client is seeking a Senior Director, Social Media & Community to lead its Social & Community function. This role reports to the Vice President of Brand and serves as a senior leader across content, conversation, and culture.
 
In addition to the responsibilities below, this position oversees two direct reports and a total team of five.
 
What You’ll Do
  • Define, champion, and execute a comprehensive global social media strategy, ensuring an integrated, platform-first approach that drives growth and aligns with overall business objectives
  • Own the development and strategic scaling of the social and community organization, including talent identification, growth, and performance management
  • Stay informed on global social media trends, emerging platforms, and best practices to ensure our client remains at the forefront of the industry
  • Champion brand strategy, aesthetic, and standards across all touchpoints, delivering a consistent creative expression through a social-first lens
  • Implement innovative tactics informed by industry and consumer insights to build meaningful, long-lasting relationships with our client’s communities
  • Oversee and lead an editorial calendar that supports the broader brand marketing vision while creating social-first moments that cut through culture
  • Collaborate on the execution of paid and organic social campaigns, including product launches, creator partnerships, and brand moments, in close partnership with brand and growth teams
  • Define and execute a holistic creator marketing ecosystem and community growth strategy that drives loyalty across social, creator, and digital channels
  • Act as a thought leader in the social and community space, influencing and building strategic partnerships that create competitive advantage and drive innovation
  • Set goals, track and analyze performance, report results, and implement recommendations to improve and scale impact
 
Who You Are
 
  • 10+ years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years leading and managing multi-disciplinary teams (social, creator, community) within a high-growth, high-volume consumer lifestyle brand
  • Proven ability to anticipate market shifts, competitive dynamics, and platform evolution, translating foresight into effective functional roadmaps
  • A visionary and empowering leader who inspires teams and fosters growth
  • Highly fluent in tying channel performance to P&L drivers and communicating data-driven narratives to executive leadership
  • Deeply customer-obsessed, with a strong understanding of how to connect with audiences across touchpoints
  • An exceptional communicator and storyteller who brings clarity, energy, and inspiration to work
  • Maintains exceptionally high standards for how brands show up, both personally and across teams
  • Creative, innovative, and energized by building new ideas that are distinctive while remaining on brand
  • Agile and motivated by fast-paced, evolving environments

Compensation
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $180,000 – $200,000 annually. 
This range represents the good-faith estimate of the pay the employer reasonably expects to offer upon hire, based on the role’s responsibilities, required experience, location, and internal equity.
 
Incentives & Benefits
This position may be eligible for discretionary, performance-based bonuses and participation in applicable incentive programs. The role also offers a comprehensive benefits package, which may include medical, dental, and vision coverage, retirement plans, paid time off, parental leave, and other employee benefits, subject to eligibility requirements.
 
Additional Compensation
This position may be eligible for equity awards, profit sharing, or other forms of non-cash compensation not included in the posted pay range and, where applicable, will be discussed during the interview or offer process.
