Senior Director of Wholesale, Sales & Operations
Job Description
We are searching for a Senior Director of Wholesale who will lead and grow our eyewear client's wholesale business across independent boutiques, optical accounts, specialty retailers, and department stores. This strategic leader will oversee sales strategy, operational excellence, and cross-functional execution to ensure profitable growth and a best-in-class wholesale experience. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in wholesale sales and operations, strong leadership skills, and a passion for developing meaningful industry partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Leadership
- Develop multi-year growth strategies across all eyewear categories and partners, aligning with company objectives.
- Build and secure a pipeline of new business opportunities, including accounts, partnerships, and distribution channels.
- Manage and optimize a team of 15–20 sales reps (independent and in-house), ensuring high performance and brand alignment.
- Establish relationships with key accounts and independent partners to understand their needs and drive sales.
- Lead development of wholesale loyalty programs and trade marketing initiatives to drive expansion and customer engagement.

- Design and implement scalable operational workflows to support wholesale growth targets.
- Optimize order processing, fulfillment accuracy, return management, and demand planning in partnership with Planning and Production teams.
- Lead evaluation and optimization of ERP, B2B ordering, and CRM tools to improve efficiency and visibility.
- Own the wholesale calendar, including sell-in periods, market weeks, trade shows, and business reviews.
- Ensure seamless communication of product launches, merchandising strategies, and marketing campaigns to wholesale partners.
- Optimize order processing, fulfillment accuracy, return management, and demand planning in partnership with Planning and Production teams.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Marketing and Creative teams to develop seasonal assets, line sheets, and promotional toolkits.
- Collaborate with Customer Experience, Logistics, Planning, and Finance teams to align inventory, pricing, and service standards.
- Act as the operational liaison between wholesale and other business units to align go-to-market strategies and performance objectives.

Reporting & Analysis
- Deliver regular sales and operational performance reporting, including KPIs, forecasts, and risk mitigation plans.

Qualifications
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in wholesale sales leadership and operations, ideally in eyewear, fashion, or consumer goods. Eyewear experience strongly preferred.
- Proven track record of growing wholesale revenue, scaling operational processes, and leading high-performing teams.
- Strong relationships within the eyewear/optical industry and familiarity with major markets and trade channels.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in ERP, CRM, and inventory management systems (NetSuite experience preferred).
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
