 Merchandising Manager - Swimwear
 
Our client a sustainable Swimwear brand out of the Bay Area is looking for a  Merchandising Manager who will be responsible for driving a merchandising strategy that ensures profitability while building a long-term collaboration with design, product development, production, inventory, and vendors. Current sales channels include direct (print & digital) and wholesale and the business plans to expand until Retail.
 
Responsibilities
 
  • Along with the VP of merchandising , planning and executing merchandising strategies to optimize product assortments and maximize sales and profitability
  • Analyzing market trends, customer preferences, and sales data to make informed decisions on product selection, pricing, and inventory management
  • Developing and managing merchandising budgets, ensuring effective allocation of resources to drive sales and meet financial targets
  • Conducting regular product audits and market research to evaluate product performance, identify opportunities, and address any potential issues
  • Coordinating with suppliers and vendors to negotiate terms, pricing, and delivery schedules to maintain optimal inventory levels
  • Monitoring competitor activities and market trends to stay ahead in the market and identify new opportunities for growth.
  • Developing and implementing promotional strategies and campaigns to drive customer engagement and increase sales
  • Providing guidance and direction to the design team, fostering a collaborative and
  • performance-driven work environment
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and sales to align merchandising strategies with overall business objectives
 
Requirements
  • You have a Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
  • You have prior experience in merchandising
  • You have experience in Woman's apparel (swimwear even better)
  • You possess strong negotiation skills and can arrive at win-win solutions with partners
  • You have strong communication & interpersonal skills
  • You have strong analytical skills and are comfortable dealing with numerical data
  • You thrive in matrix environments and are adept at influencing and coordinating with different stakeholders
  • Salary range: 90-100k
