Position: VP of Content and Marketing
Location: New York, NY (midtown)
 
Core Responsibilities: 
  • Grow and develop brand market share
  • Develop and implement a marketing plan to achieve Company goals and objectives
  • Build and execute a 360-degree marketing strategy to drive brand awareness
  • Development and implementation of business and brand strategies for product launches promotions, communications, and public relations
  • Assist in refining customer segmentations through research and analysis
  • Analyze, refine, and improve campaigns to ensure programs deliver strong return for the brand
  • Manage marketing budget to drive increased efficiency
  • Drive creative to ensure implementation is aligned with strategic objectives
  • Stay current on apparel and fashion industry marketing and social media news, constantly testing new ideas and platforms
  • Develop and manage company’s marketing calendar: plan marketing activities, new product launches, content, and promotions
Develop brand stories and strategies
  • Deliver ideas and concepts that set us apart from competitors 
  • Research current market trends and predict future ones to ensure we are ahead of the game and evolving on brand
  • Produce compelling content that aligns with brand standards while understanding the strategic objective behind the work
  • Ensure brand consistency in copy through tone and voice for all content needs 
Collaborate with creative teams  
  • To successfully translate a brand’s strategy / story into marketing collateral, this person needs to successfully collaborate with creative teams (marketing, web, graphic designers, social).
  • Create brand stories that tell customers about a product or service —> work with creative team to execute vision in different silos
  • This person directs, oversees, and signs off on creative elements to ensure that materials are in line with the current brand strategy
  • Assist with naming campaigns, products, colors
Write Copy and Brand strategy documents
  • In charge of writing copy for campaigns, email, Instagram, to ensure brand voice is cohesive and there is an overarching story
  • Write, proofread, and edit copy at various stages of the writing process and in response to requests and feedback from stakeholders while ensuring editorial standards are met
  • Present copy strategy and concepts to leadership
  • Deliver high-quality taglines, messaging, and content across products, channels, and markets
  • Create processes and mechanisms to ensure efficiency and scale content creation 
Social Media
  • Own the planning and execution of all social campaigns to deliver our brands messages through compelling content and storytelling
  • Think strategically and creatively on how best to utilize our social media channels and those of our brand partners
  • Define and build an engaged local community via influencer marketing
  • Manage local content production and photoshoots
  • Analyze relevant metrics to measure the impact of social media activities and amend strategies based on learnings and patterns
  • Be the brand and consumer guardian, maintaining an in-depth knowledge of the trends, topics, places, and people who are impacting our target consumer
PR: 
  • Manage partnership with PR firm for North America, and oversee the development of editor, stylist and celebrity relationships, gifting, seasonal press kits creation, and outreach
  • Spearhead product launches: develop strategies, events, outreach
  • Cause related association: identify strategic causes and determine all tie-ins, associations, and activations
  • Analyze ROI and engagement of influencers to measure campaign effectiveness and refine programs
  • Review and approve all macro partnerships and thoroughly vet new candidates for brand campaigns
Retail 
  • Work closely with the Sales Department to execute retail marketing programs including but not limited to: CRM, promotions, sampling, education, direct mail, and events 
  • Analyze ROI of retailer campaigns and initiatives and make recommendations to optimize product mix, price, and promotion
  • Lead creative development for in-store visual merchandising and retailer e-commerce assets
Salary: $180K-$210K
