Job Description
- Regularly assess the effectiveness of all existing operations and evaluate needs based on technology and key competitors in the marketplace
- Oversee the day-to-day business operations, maintenance, and performance measurement of the business. Uses a data-driven approach for analysis and decisions. (Shipping fulfillment - 3PL, inventory system, support + service center, etc)
- Ability to initiate and Implement processes, framework, and systems that allow our company to capture and utilize timely and accurate data across the business to make better decisions
- Oversee the profitability and quality of store operations.
- Manage the talent acquisition and management efforts of the business, including implementing hiring, onboarding, performance reviews, and employee development procedures.
- Proven success in Operations role, in an e-commerce company or high growth retail organization
- Help to establish and execute the strategic direction for minnow, working in coordination with the CEO to develop, evolve and refine our minnow's business strategy that will maximize profitability and support minnow's sustainable growth.
- Own the execution of the business’ long-term business goals, including the establishment and management of the company’s P&L budget and tight financial reporting procedures.
- Experience in the creation and implementation of strategic and operating plans. Ability to balance long-term strategic thinking as well as attention to detail with day-to-day tactical execution
- Create and monitors KPI’s and adapts strategy to deliver the annual financial plan
- Enhance the performance culture through regular KPI reporting and gap identification to facilitate continuous improvement.
- Effectively link operating levers with key indicators to improve management and returns within the business.
- Implement reporting systems to regularly communicate results such that all team members understand how the company is performing relative to plan and are engaged.
- Develop a lean management culture, discipline and procedures to constantly improve operations to improve revenue growth and profitability and ensure we can continue to invest aggressively.
- Have relationships with financial institutions for various vehicles of financing and are comfortable leading those negotiations
- Excel, financial analysis and modeling skills
- Oversee inventory purchasing, inventory production and cash flow management
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required. CPA, CFA or MBA preferred
- CPG and DTC experience preferred
- Proven ability to simplify the complex, successfully articulate and address complex business issues and opportunities to management and cross-functional partners
- Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Ability to articulate trends, results & strategy based on data analysis and present appropriate adjustments to marketing plans accordingly
- Results-oriented: demonstrates a sense of urgency for overcoming obstacles and achieving measurable results; resourceful and driven; willing to get hands dirty and personally drive projects and timelines
