Job Description

We are searching for a VP of Operations who will play a pivotal role in auditing the current operational structure and assisting in developing a 3-year strategic operations plan for our client in the skincare industry. The role will focus on laying the foundation for scalable growth, improving operational efficiencies, and exploring expansion opportunities, including international markets and potential retail partnerships, as the brand explores expansion from a DTC (Direct-to-Consumer) model. A key component of the role is developing an operations roadmap and scaling strategy that aligns with the company’s long-term growth vision and goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Operational Foundation and Growth:
    • Establish an operational foundation that supports scalable and profitable growth, with a focus on enhancing customer service.
    • Assess current operations and identify areas for streamlining and optimization to support long-term growth.
  2. Quality Standards and Continuous Improvement:
    • Develop and support operations team to enforce quality standards across all operational functions to maintain high standards in both products and services.
    • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to drive continuous improvement in processes, enhancing both customer and employee experiences.
    • Identify key initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiencies, productivity, and overall performance and support operations team to execute them.
  3. KPI Establishment and Reporting:
    • Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure and monitor operational performance, ensuring all activities are aligned with the strategic goals of the company.
    • Provide regular updates and insights to the executive team to support data-driven decision-making.
  4. 3-Year Operations Plan:
    • Create a comprehensive 3-year operational strategy that includes future infrastructure needs (technology, coman, shipping 3PLs), resources, and capacity for expansion.
    • Assess potential international markets and develop strategies for retail growth to complement the existing DTC model.
  5. International Expansion and Retail Growth:
    • Analyze specific opportunities for international expansion, including regulatory requirements, logistical planning, and market entry strategies.
    • Evaluate the potential for partnerships with retail channels and develop strategies.
  6. Team Audit and People Plan:
    • Conduct a comprehensive audit of the current operations team to evaluate strengths, gaps, and alignment with future growth objectives.
    • Assess individual roles, responsibilities, and team performance, identifying areas where additional skills, training, or resources are needed.
    • Develop and grow the Operations team, including an initial people plan with recommendations for talent acquisition, development, and succession planning to ensure the team can scale with the business.
