Job Description

Woman’s Clubs Designer - Tops & Dresses
 
Responsibilities
  • Along with the design VP and design director, responsible for collaborating and executing creative vision and direction for the Clubs tops for all woman’s cut and sew knit and woven tops categories for a variety of brands from juniors to traditional missy.
  • Understanding of consumer behaviors in distribution channels.
  • Responsible for managing the collection - including on-time delivery of all assets, hitting key deadlines 
  • Self-starter and able to ask for help when needed but proactive in finding solves.
  • Responsible for owning the lifecycle (design and overall aesthetic) from start up until PP stage
  • Must be independent. Candidate will be responsible for all sketching, tech packing and sample follow up.
  • Responsible for sharing fit intention
  • Responsible for managing and hitting all deadlines and communicating any issues
  • Able to communicate clear ideas and know who the customer is through research and shopping. Must be able to analyze market trends and apply to specific categories
  • Organized, amazing with time management and attention to detail
  • Able to function in a fast-paced work environment that is growing and evolving rapidly.
Requirements
  • 5-8 yrs apparel design experience
  • 5+ years working for an woman’s brand which caters to mass market store customer base. Costco, Sam’s Club, BJ’s a plus
  • Must have excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Must be able to work proficiently in Adobe creative suite
  • Knowledge of PLM systems and how to use them
  • Expert knowledge of apparel design and garment construction
  • Expert knowledge of performance fabric and trims
  • Experience with outdoor and outerwear apparel is required
  • Must have strong presentation skills
  • Must have examples of work and portfolio to be considered
Salary
  • $82,000 - $90,000
